Hardware acceleration is disabled or not available on my computer. What do I do?

Hardware acceleration is a display setting in Flash Player that determines whether video is rendered by the graphics card on your computer or by software only.

When hardware acceleration is disabled or not available, video is rendered by software only on HBOGO.com. As a result you might notice lower quality video playback; plus, increased CPU and power usage. If you stream video on your laptop, you might notice that your battery charge doesn't last as long when hardware acceleration is disabled or not available.

If you're notified that hardware acceleration is disabled or not available on HBOGO.com, you can either continue to watch the video or adjust the Flash Player setting. To learn how to turn on hardware acceleration in Flash Player, go to Flash Player Help.
