Can't sign in to HBO GO on Android TV

You'll need to have your phone or a computer handy to sign in on your Android TV. Here's how to sign in:

  1. Open HBO GO on your Android TV, and from Welcome choose Sign In.
  2. Follow these TV sign-in steps.

If you can't sign in, try these steps:

Step 2: Clear the cache and data

  1. On your Android TV, go to Settings > Apps.
  2. Under Downloaded, find and select HBO GO.
  3. Select Clear cache, and then select OK to confirm.
  4. Select Clear data, and then select OK to confirm.

Try signing in again. If you still can't sign in, try the next step.

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall HBO GO

  1. On your Android TV, go back to Settings > Apps.
  2. Under Downloaded, find and select HBO GO.
  3. Select Uninstall, and then select OK to confirm.
  4. Go to the Google Play Store, find the HBO GO app, then choose Install.

Try signing in again. If you still can't sign in, try the next step.

Step 4: Restart your Android TV

If you still can't sign in, try restarting your Android TV. 

To restart your Android TV, turn it off, unplug your TV for a minute, then plug it back in and try signing in again. To restart a Sony Bravia TV, hold down the power button on the remote.
