Troubleshoot video playback issues with HBO GO on Kindle Fire

If you're experiencing video playback issues on your Amazon Kindle Fire, try the following steps:

Step 1: Download the HBO GO app

Download the latest version of the HBO GO app from the Amazon appstore.

 

Step 2: Check your network speed

  1. On the Home screen, swipe down and tap the wireless icon.
  2. Tap the network that you're connected to. 
  3. Check your signal strength and link speed (you need to have a minimum of 3 Mbps). 

Step 3: Clear the cache

  1. On your device, navigate to Settings > Applications.
  2. Tap Manage All Applications and then tap HBO GO.
  3. Tap Clear Data to clear HBO GO app data from your device's memory.
  4. Go back to the Home screen and restart HBO GO.

Step 4: Remove and reinstall HBO GO

  1. On your device, navigate to Settings > Applications.
  2. Tap Manage All Applications and then tap HBO GO.
  3. Tap Uninstall to remove HBO GO from your device.
  4. Download and reinstall HBO GO from the Amazon appstore.
