Can't sign in to HBO GO on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You sign in to HBO GO with the username and password for your TV provider account. If you don't know your username and password, contact your TV provider. HBO doesn't have access to your sign-in information.

Note  If you get the message "Sorry, [TV provider] Doesn't Support HBO GO. Do you want to sign in with another TV provider?," choose Yes and then select your TV provider from the list. For more info, see Signing in to HBO GO on iOS.

Step 1: Sign in to your TV provider's website

Make sure you can sign in to your account on your TV provider's website.

  1. Go to your TV provider's website and sign in with the username and password for your TV provider account.
  2. If you can't sign in, contact your TV provider. If you can sign in, try the next step.

Step 2: Delete and reinstall HBO GO

  1. Delete the HBO GO app from your iOS device (press and hold the HBO GO app icon until it jiggles, then tap the X in the upper-left corner).
  2. Turn off your device, wait a moment and then turn it back on again. 
  3. Open the App Store and install the HBO GO app.
  4. Open HBO GO and try signing in again.

Step 3: Clear the mobile Safari browser cache

  1. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Safari.
  2. Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.
  3. Turn off your device, wait a moment and then turn it back on again.
  4. Open HBO GO and try signing in again.

The HBO GO app is greyed out on my device. What should I do?

If the HBO GO app is greyed out, try the following: 

  1. Make sure you have the latest software on your iOS device
  2. Uninstall HBO GO (press and hold the HBO GO app icon until it jiggles, then tap the X in the upper-left corner to delete).
  3. Turn your device off, wait a moment, and then turn it back on again.
  4. Go to the App Store and get the HBO GO app.
  5. Open HBO GO and sign in.
