Error message: 'Username already in use'
If you see this error message, it means the HBO GO ID (username) that you entered has been taken. Each HBO profile must have a unique HBO GO ID. If you get this message, do either of the following:
- Enter a different HBO GO ID (3-14 characters, with no spaces or special characters).
- Contact us to unlock your old HBO profile.
Note Unfortunately, if you contact us to unlock your HBO profile, your settings will still be lost (My List, Continue Watching list, and your parental controls).
