'Connection or Session Timed Out' with HBO GO on an Android phone or tablet

HBO GO requires a solid Internet connection while streaming video. An Internet connection with 3.0 Mbps or greater is required. If your connection drops out (even for a short while), your session will time out. 

  • If you're streaming using a cellular connection on your Android phone or tablet, try switching to a Wi-Fi connection (go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your device, and choose a wireless network). 
  • You can check your connection speed using an app (i.e. go to Speedtest.net and install the Speed Test app).
