How do I turn closed captions on or off?
The majority of videos on MAX GO can be watched with closed captions. When closed captions are on, audio is displayed as text on the screen (speech and sounds are transcribed into text).
To turn closed captions on/off
- Computer: While a video is playing, hover your mouse over the video to see the player controls, and then click the CC button in the lower-right corner. Choose ON or OFF. You can also choose Settings to change the style of the captions.
- Android phone or tablet: While a video is playing, tap the screen to see the player controls and then tap the CC button in the lower-right corner. Here you can toggle Closed Captions on or off and change the styling.
- iPhone or iPad: Tap the screen while a video is playing, and then tap the CC button in the lower-right corner. To change the caption styling, go to the Home screen on your iOS device, then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Subtitles & Captioning and turn on Closed Captions + SDH. For more info, see Closed captions on your iPhone or iPad.
